Terms and Conditions

When ordering with Therapy World Ltd, you are accepting our terms and conditions. 
Your existing statutory rights are not affected by these conditions.

The terms and conditions detailed below are applicable to all transactions made with Therapy World Ltd.

Ordering

Cancellation of orders by Consumers will be accepted in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to impinge upon a Consumer's statutory or contractual rights to reject faulty goods.

All orders are subject to acceptance and to availability. www.therapyworld.org.uk is entitled to refuse any order for any reason.

You undertake that all details you provide for the purpose of purchasing goods offered on www.therapyworld.org.uk are correct, and the credit or debit card you use to make a purchase is your own card or your company's card, that you are authorised to use it, and that there are sufficient funds or credit facilities to cover the cost of any goods you order from us.

Payment is due prior to shipment. Payments can be accepted via: Bank transfer, PayPal, Credit Card and Debit Card. Some card types may be rejected (AMEX etc).

We accept the following payment cards:

All card payments are processed securely by RBS Worldpay.

Following an order, you will receive an email from sales@therapyworld.org.uk

We reserve the right to obtain validation of your credit or debit card details before providing you with any goods or services.

The price of the goods will be clearly displayed on the product page within the website. This price is shows VAT and VAT free prices but does not include delivery charges. The price exclusive of VAT is also shown.

Goods together with VAT are invoiced at the price prevailing at time of order.

Delivery

Orders delivered throughout the UK will usually be dispatched and delivered within 1-4 working days of a cleared payment. Order by 4pm for same day dispatch.

www.therapyworld.org.uk does not accept liability for failure to deliver within the stated time where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as delays caused by delivery companies or other external influences.

If products ordered are not available or delayed, www.therapyworld.org.uk will notify the customer. A customer who is a Consumer shall be entitled to cancel the order with a full refund if the revised delivery date is not acceptable.

Delivery will be made to the address detailed by the customer.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that arrangements are in place to take delivery.

Business Customers are required to be able to accept the goods when they are ready for delivery within Normal Working Hours.

Delivery is deemed to take place when the goods are delivered to the Customer's nominated address, whereupon the risks of loss, breakage and all damage and all other risks shall pass to the Customer.

therapyworld.org.uk will replace goods that are damaged in transit in accordance with the order placed provided that notification is given within 3 days. The customer should inspect the products upon receipt. If the customer fails to notify Therapy World Ltd of faulty or damaged items within 3 days of delivery, the customer will be judged to have accepted the goods. Therapy World Ltd cannot accept any claims for faulty or broken goods more than 3 days after delivery.

Where delivery has been tracked, i.e. not dispatched via second class post, the Customer may request a Proof of Delivery, provided that this request is made in writing within 3 months of the date of delivery. therapyworld.org.uk shall use reasonable endeavours to provide such proof.

Upon delivery of the goods, the Customer may be asked to sign a Proof of Delivery to acknowledge safe receipt. It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that the number of packages delivered corresponds with the number stated on the delivery note. Where a discrepancy occurs or where there is evident damage to the packaging, this should be noted on the Proof of Delivery. therapyworld.org.uk shall not be liable for discrepancies or damage evident on delivery where the Customer accepts delivery and signs the Proof of Delivery without amendment.

If the Customer cannot accept delivery, therapyworld.org.uk may:

  • Store and insure the goods at the Customer's expense and risk
  • Re-arrange delivery, charging the Customer for the additional delivery costs incurred

Please note that defective lamps sent back to Therapy World Ltd will be sent back to the manufacturer to be tested before a credit note can be issued.

The Description and Price of Goods

Product images displayed are for illustrative purposes and provide an approximate description of goods. Product pictures can often be generic. All Pictures on our site are owned by Therapy World Limited and are not to be copied, downloaded or distributed.

All product specifications have been compiled from accessible sources. therapyworld.org.uk intends for all information displayed to be is as accurate as possible. However, Therapyworld.org.uk cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of the information displayed.

Where more than one brand is advertised, therapyworld.org.uk will supply current stock.

therapyworld.org.uk makes every effort to supply the goods as advertised. If therapyworld.org.uk cannot supply the goods ordered by the Customer, therpy reserves the right to offer goods of equal or superior quality at no extra cost. In such a case, if the Customer does not wish to accept the alternative goods offered, he or she may cancel the order and receive a full refund.

therapyworld.org.uk makes every effort to ensure that all prices and descriptions quoted are correct and accurate. However, it is inevitable that mistakes will occasionally occur. therapyworld.org.uk  liability in that event will be limited to the return of any money the Customer has paid in respect of the order.

Returns

therapyworld.org.uk is committed to providing our customers with the highest quality products and service. However, on rare occasions, products may be found to be faulty or defective. Therapyworld.org.uk endeavours to make every effort to fulfil valid requests for returns and will refund authorised returns as promptly as possible.

Subject to the right of Consumers to return goods for refund under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 therapyworld.org.uk does not sell products on a trial basis. Customers are strongly advised to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering. Such goods are not returnable to the manufacturer and may not be sold to other customers. Accordingly, orders for such goods can not be cancelled and therapyworld.org.uk  can only return goods where they prove to be defective and the Goods are returned for replacement.

therapyworld.org.uk cannot be held responsible for equipment installed or configured when the equipment has subsequently been altered or configured by persons other than the product manufacturer. It is your responsibility to ensure that any products you order are fit for the purpose you intend.

In the event that therapyworld.org.uk, at its discretion (unless the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 apply, agrees to accept the return for credit of unwanted products, the goods must be returned to therapyworld.org.uk with prior written agreement within 14 days of delivery. The goods must be unopened, with the manufacturers seals intact and in perfect re-saleable condition. All goods returned in these circumstances (except where the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 apply, will be subject to a 35% re-stocking fee of sale price for the goods. Please ensure that the product(s) you have purchased are to your specification prior to breaking the manufacturer seals. This will avoid disappointment and the product(s) being rejected, should you wish to return them.

therapyworld.org.uk cannot accept liability for packages damaged during transit from the Customer. It is the Customer's responsibility to wrap the product adequately to prevent damage.

Proof of postage is not proof of delivery and you are therefore strongly advised to send your package by recorded delivery, registered post or courier, and to insure the goods for their full value.

Returned products will be tested. If returned products are found to be in good working order without defect, we will return the product to you, and the carriage costs of this return will be your responsibility. Please note that if you have, in the meantime, required us to provide you with a replacement product before completion of the testing process, you will have to pay for this product as a separate order.

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000

Contracts for the purchase of goods by a Customer not acting in the course of a business and made over the telephone or through therapyworld.org.uk are subject to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

If the Regulations apply, Customers may cancel goods purchased from therapyworld.org.uk. Please note that email is not a guaranteed service.

Notice of cancellation must be made within 7 working days of delivery of the goods.

The Customer will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods if he or she exercises this right of cancellation under the Regulations. If the Customer does not actually return the goods to therapyworld.org.uk, the Customer is under a duty to make the goods available for collection at the Customer's expense from the address to which they were delivered.

The Customer is under a duty to retain possession of the goods whilst awaiting return to therapyworld.org.uk and to take reasonable care of them during this period. The Customer will be liable for any loss of or damage to the goods if he or she fails to comply with this obligation.

Definitions

"Business Customer" means a customer who is not a Consumer.

"Consumer" means an individual who is not acting for the purposes of his or her business or profession.

"Normal Working Hours" means 9 am to 5 pm on a Working Day.

"Working Days" means Monday to Friday, excluding Bank or other Public holidays.

Disclaimers

All lamps sold by Therapyworld.org.uk are for medical and scientific use. Improper or incorrect use can cause damage to both lamp and the equipment for which Therapyworld.org.uk cannot be held responsible. Faulty lamps will be returned to the original manufacturer for testing to ascertain the reason for failure. Please refer to our returns policy above for exact details.

Lamp Handling (UV Tube Purchases)

Please take care when handling the tubes. NEVER touch the glass with your hands as deposits from the skin can damage the glass affecting lamp performance and lamp life. Handle using the metal part of the lamp or if it is necessary to use the glass part for inserting use the foam insert from the packaging to cover the glass. Faulty lamps will be returned to the original manufacturer for testing to ascertain the reason for failure. Please refer to our returns policy above for exact details.

Ultraviolet (UV) Lamps

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is invisible to the human eye. It comes in three categories. UVA, UVB & UVC. Each category is used for different purposes. Please ensure you purchase the correct lamp for your equipment. Incorrect or improperly used UV lamps can cause serious damage to eyes and skin. If in any doubt please contact a medical professional for advice before purchasing. therapyworld.org.uk cannot offer advice on use or treatment and cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by using incorrect lamps or incorrectly using lamps. Please refer to manufacturers notes and warnings on the packaging.

Conditions of Sale for Medical UV Lamps

In most cases, psoriasis treatment should be administered by a photo therapist or specialist nurse. However it is also very common practice that serious sufferers of psoriasis look to home treatment to ease the condition.

Due to extreme UV output of the TL100/01, we would recommend that advice is sought before any form of self-medication from dermatologists or specialist medical practitioners.

UV LAMPS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS TO SKIN AND EYESIGHT IF NOT USED UNDER STRICT GUIDELINES

We would ask to agree to our terms and conditions before purchasing. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you are confirming that you are very aware of the dangers of UV treatment and exept all responsibility for any misuse. Therapy World Ltd has in no way recommended any form of treatment.
