DIMENSIONS:

L945 x W300 x D150mm

Weight: 0.7KG (1.5 lb)

Found to be the most effective buoyancy aid for child or adult use in providing a secure stabiliser of the whole upper body, particularly where thrashing about or patient inability to prevent self-rolling over is a problem.  The Chailey buoyancy aid supports the head from behind and the sides, and is fitted with a flexible solid tube to fit under the arms for adjustment and security.

The colour has changed from Yellow to Orange for our new stock, this does not affect it's use.

Chailey Flotation Aid

Although apprehensive about buying this very expensive piece of kit I have to say it works well. My disabled daughter can get very active in water and we needed something other than the carers shoulder on which her head was supported. The Chailey stayed in position throughout the session and provided good head support meaning the carers could move around my daughter giving her more freedom in the water. This piece of kit is manufactured by the NHS rehabilitation engineering services in East Sussex which I guess explains why it is so expensive. I cant imagine them being turned out by the thousands and although not bespoke its still worth it in my opinion. just to mention my daughter wears a Jobo floatation vest from shoulder to waist and combined with the Chailey means she can float unsupported. It wasn't too difficult getting it on while she was on the changing bed but next time we will put it on in the pool. Like everything these things become easier as we get used to them. The feedback from carers was 'keep it, its really good'. I would definitely give it 5 stars but for the price.
